1. Consulation
At Balanced Chiropractic + Wellness the consultation begins when you arrive, and begin filling out your paperwork. This is an important step in the process that will guide the examination in finding out what the true cause(s) of your problem are.
A consultation, should you have questions about us or the process, can always be scheduled as a complimentary service to you. If an examination is not warranted after our conversation, you won't owe us a thing.
*We do not do X-RAYS in our office unless they are needed after completing the history/examination.
2. Examination
At Balanced Chiropractic + Wellness this is our favorite part of the process and we think it will be your's also!
This part of the process does take the most time, because our examination is very thorough. This way it helps us to determine what the exact cause of the problem is so we can get you back to doing what you love faster! What's cool is that we not only will tell you what is going on, we will show you!
How? Well, we will look at your movement patterns to determine if they are painful or functional, meaning the parts that should move... move, and the parts that should be stable... are stable. We then break down the movement patterns to determine which parts (knee, hip, ankle, etc.) are causing a problem, because where your pain is, may not be what is causing the pain!
Once we determine which parts need to be treated, we will treat them.
3. Adjustment / Treatment
When it comes to the adjustment, we have a few tricks up our sleeves. We use a mix of several different techniques, because we know what works well for one, may not work so well for another. We are also able to adjust the techniques we use to work with any ages, from newborns to the elderly. Because we know how important quality of movement is for all ages (especially those in the developing years).
Our examination also points out whether or not you have a joint mobility restriction, a soft tissue restriction, or a stability/motor control problem (your brain controlling muscles to create stabilization). From there, we select a tool that fits your wants/needs and correct the issue(s).
We strive to have a complete examination, but we also want you to understand everything we are doing and working on. During this initial visit we will break down each step of the process and answer any questions you may have!
